Tama kit (Swingstar or Stagestar) Steve
was the drummer and occasional backup singer for The Dabs.
The Tama kit he played was painted (by Steve) in red, white and blue stripes 'coz he didn't like the original colour. These drums once ended up in a swimming pool being used as floatation devices after an afternoon of revelry. Steve is remembered for his wild sense of humour and cheeky demeanour but sadly Steve took his life at the young age of 25 and will be greatly missed by all who crossed his path. A lot of the reputation ascribed to The Dabs for being a wild, reckless, hard-drinking bunch can be attributed to Steve and his free spirited ways. Rock on! Other bands: Small Torque, The Mockers |
